Pay Day Delights #2

I am so weak – one mention from the girls over at Beaut.ie about Smashbox’s new lipstick pen and I simply had to have it. I have been looking for a quality red lipstick for a while. Now it’s still in the testing phase with me, but it goes on brilliantly and the colour is stunning – real 40’s starlet red.
I have gorged a little bit this pay day. You see – there is another Burlesque show on at The Tassel Club tomorrow night (I think tickets are still available) and after some taunting and na-na-na-naing from the rapscallion Raptureponies I found myself in Retro in The Georges Arcade at lunch time hanging onto a metal bar as I was yanked and cajoled from behind by their lovely staff. One broken rib cage later and I was in the most stunning (ly expensive) red satin corset(see it modelled here) .There was no way I was leaving the shop without it.
Who needs money for food anyway?

Arrrrgh no fair,i managed to put the idea of buying a decent one out of my head and this has reinstilled the notion
I’ve been debating tassel club vs amanda palmer tonight,and Ms Palmer won out but if yis are round town let me know.
FYI Nars do a serious lipstick in pencil form in full on fire engine red and it stays on like a dream.

@Jo – I have already planned out a number of events when I might get to wear it so there will be lots of photos.
@Stel – Burlesque has been postponed – but there’s another one on 1st and 29th Novmber- you fancy a trip to the south?
@Manuel – Oh I know the feeling. there’s a Sony shop with the prettiest camera in the window and I have to walk by it daily. So tempting.
@Claire – It is great. I think I will have to consider a career where all you have to wear are corsets…ok maybe not.
@Darren –

@GoE -Go on go on go on go on go on. As above, we’re postponing this evening but there are more coming up shortly. The stick has passed my test anyway -I have a slight allergy to certain lipsticks and my lips start to burn like they are on fire – I wore it all last night and today and they are fine so yay! I love the colour of this cranberry one and you can just wear the liner for a lighter more subtle shade.

this is why i’m not totally happy not working- i can’t justify splurging silly amounts of money by telling myself i worked hard to earn it, because i didn’t.

@Red – I tell myself I work hard and deserve it – but my other responsibilities get neglected – I will buy something small next month. You need a treat every so often.
