Everybody’s Doing It

Another year older. Another year bolder.
I can’t say that I look forward to the passing of my birthday each year. Be it childhood neurosis or a fear of ageing I’ve never been particularly fond of the occasion.
It’s not so bad though with lovely friends to keep me company and help drown my sorrows.
Who knew my sorrows would be such strong swimmers.

i understand how you feel; i never liked my birthday until i turned 30 – had 3 mega parties that year. still not sure what snapped inside me to bring the change, but it was welcome.
and no matter what anyone says – if your sorrows are around, it’s for a reason. acknowledge them, just don’t let them take the best of you.
