Best Laid Plans

We were all set on killing birds today. We picked out the best stones we could find, packed our bags and set off on our separate journeys to be a good friend, a good nephew, confidants, do our bit for others.
We were stood up.
Turns out we’re not as invaluable as we had thought.
I think I might go to the Mammy’s for chocolate and hugs. If she’ll still have me that is.

I settled just for chocolate, cold coffee and a Sunday paper I couldn’t really pay any attention to.
Am regretting it now as I am sitting on the internet when it’s such a lovely day outside.

Hahaha, I actually had to read this twice because at first I thought you mean actually killing actual birds. Oh, too much chocolate… x

@SOP – I wish I had gone outside yesterday. It’s so miserable today.
