Going Down Under:Watch This Space

The Tuesday after a Bank Holiday is always an uphill struggle of me. While I should be fully relaxed after a long weekend and  happy at thoughts of a short week ahead I’m more often than not exhausted from the high-jinx of a four day social binge and struggle to keep my head above water for the rest of the week.

This morning is no exception. Between Friday and the early hours of this morning there was family business, the boys birthday, an emotional cinema-thon and a trip London.

Bedraggled and somewhat dubious myself and fellow blogger McG, together with our trusty side-kicks headed off for London bright and early on Saturday morning to take part in the unknown. We were aware that there was a trip to Oz up for grabs and that…well that was about it. We had very little notion of how we would go about getting our eager little paws on said trip however a day in London and good slice of curiosity meant we were willing to see what it was all about.

To make a long story and a heavy hangover short, we met some lovely people, we drank, we ate, we talked and we all got a feel for the competition.

Because of the day that is in it (work commitments etc etc) I can’t say more but I wanted to whet your appetites before I disclose all in the coming days.

The most important thing to know is that New South Wales Tourism, STA and the lovely folk at 1000 Heads want to send some people to Oz to experience the delights of Sydney.

Over the next six weeks the competitors (that’s me) will be set a course of challenges and at the end of the rainbow there will be two tickets to Oz for the victorious blogger together with two tickets for a member of their “community” so audience participation is vital. I need your brains people.

The prize includes return flights to Sydney, 7 nights accommodation, a half day Bondi Surf Experience, Jet-boating, a Blue Mountain Day tour and a 1/2 day Bonza Bike session.

Once I have gathered my thoughts and unpacked my suitcase I will return with a fuller update so watch this space.
