Wohoo! Victory for the curvy girl.

According to a recent survey in More Magazine the skinny size 0’s add up to a big fat nothing. The British magazine surveyed over 2000 men asking them to nominate their favourite celeb body. And the results are in:

Best Girlys

  1. Coleen Rooney
  2. Mylene Klass
  3. Kelly Brook
  4. Jennifer Aniston
  5. Jordan
  6. Cheryl Cole (Okay – but she used to have curves)
  7. Mel B
  8. Cameron Diaz
  9. Lindsay Lohan (also bereft of curves but once upon a time she was pretty)
  10. Lily Allen

And the Worst …

  1. Amy Winehouse
  2. Victoria Beckham
  3. Nicola Riche

Pass me the chocolate Jeeves.

Bobbi Brown Purchases

After last nights shenanigans with the For Nine Pounds crew I dragged my horribly hung-over body out of bed bright and early to make it to my 11am appointment at the Bobbi Brown make-up counter in Brown Thomas. While every fibre of my aching body (literally aching- I have bruises) screamed at me to go back to my comfy bed, these appointments are damn difficult to get, particularly on a Saturday so I persevered and attempted to wash away the cobwebs with a scalding hot shower.

After arriving 10 minutes late and almost forfeiting my slot with Kaka, one of the perfectly preened BB girls prepped and primed my face. Following the cleansing away of the remainder of lasts night’s make-up, she used a product called Intensive Skin Supplement on my face and neck. THIS STUFF FELT FANTASTIC.

The girl explained to me the benefits of the ISS informing me that unlike ordinary moisturisers which only penetrate the top 4 layers of your skin, this miracle serum nourishes as deep as 7 layers of skin. It is, according to the BB website “The perfect remedy for dull, lacklustre skin. An advanced, multi-benefit serum that improves skin’s appearance as it helps prevent the visible signs of ageing.”

Unlike the MAC girls, the ladies at the Bobbi Brown counter are fresh faced and healthy looking each with a flush of pink in their cheeks. I do love MAC make-up and nothing beats their make-up for staying power and coverage, but I can say after this make-over my skin looks natural and fresh and not at all over-done.

Kaka took about 20 minutes to give me my new day-to-night look using the BB Luminous Foundation so my freckles are still visible and topping the look off with a dab of BB shimmer Lip Gloss. I feel like I have had a facial. The Serum has left my skin so intensely soft so much so that I have since touched my face so much, the make-up has all but disappeared.

So in keeping with my new tradition of pay day make-up treat for Lottie, I invested in the foundation, lip gloss and I just had to have the Intensive Skin Supplement. It was a bit pricey but I am guaranteed it will last all year. I have learned the benefits of investing in quality skin care and the concept of wrinkles just terrifies me.

I wasn’t too pushed on the eye-shadow, which the girls at Beaut.ie rave about but I think that had more to do with the colour applied than the formulation.

I was given a full list of all the lovely products used but alas it’s 27 days to the next pay day. Further beautification will have to wait.

Now I am off to see if I can do something about my poor liver.
